Swachh Bharat Mission

Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM), Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, or Clean India Mission is a country-wide campaign initiated by the Government of India in 2014 to eliminate Open defecation and improve solid waste managementUnder the mission, all villages, Gram Panchayats, Districts, States and Union Territories in India declared themselves "open-defecation free" (ODF) by 2 October 2019, the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, by constructing over 100 million toilets in rural India.

Municipal Corporation Manesar has taken number of steps to clean the city. Automatic sweeping machines are hired to clean the sector roads and number of sweeping team are constituted to clean the inner roads. Door to Door waste collection tender work is under process through which the waste will be collected from door step.

A number of campaign are also being organised by MC Manesar for awareness of citizens to clean clean their surroundings, waste segregation and waste composting. Some RWAs has started inhouse composting and waste segregation in MC Manesar.

Making collective efforts to make the city clean will pave way for a cleaner city. So every citizen should make some efforts and help authorities to make the city clean.
